Receptionist (Biometrics) - G3 - Hr324 - Mount Lebanon - (2 Vacancies)

Accountability,(key results that will be achieved)  The reception and counselling of asylum-seekers and refugees in accordance with UNHCR policies and standards The identification of vulnerable asylum-seekers and refugees; The management of expectations of asylum-seekers and refugees. Responsibility, (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)  Counsel/explain to applicants the Iris Scanning procedures and their implications; Conduct Iris scanning of applicants in UNHCR as part of the registration procedures. Refer cases of double-registration according to the system in place; Remain informed of any new procedures/processes relevant to their daily tasks Identify persons of concern and organize their entry into UNHCR premises Identify and fast-track persons with specific protection needs. Coordinate with security team on the management of orderly entry into the building, and reporting security incidents where applicable; Counsel refugees and asylum-seekers, providing them with information at reception and in waiting areas, including assistance with completion of application forms; Any other duty as may be required. Authority(decisions made in executing responsibilities and to achieve results)  Control and organize access to UNHCR premises; referral to reception desks for follow-up.
