Receptionist - G3 - Hr225

Accountability The reception and counselling of asylum-seekers and refugees in accordance with UNHCR policies and standards;  The identification of vulnerable asylum-seekers and refugees;  The management of expectations of asylum-seekers and refugees. Responsibility 1. Identify persons of concern and organize their entry into UNHCR premises; 2. Identify and fast-track persons with specific protection needs; 3. Coordinate with security team on the management of orderly entry into the building, and reporting security incidents where applicable; 4. Counsel refugees and asylum-seekers, providing them with information at reception and in waiting areas, including assistance with completion of application forms; 5. Assist with creating, organizing, maintaining physical files, including photocopying of documentation prior to registration interviews; 6. Ensure timely and efficient circulation of physical files and other correspondence between reception/registration unit and other functional units; 7. Schedule appointments for refugees, through the hotline or in person 8. Any other duty as may be required.   Authority  Control and organize access to UNHCR premises; referral to reception desks for follow-up.
