1. Conduct regular travel to the field to follow up on the overall protection situation in refugee settlements and other areas where refugees have been accommodated.2. Counsel individual asylum seekers and refugees to manage their expectations on protection, assistance and durable solutions;3. Identify vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees and refer cases through the right channels for further assistance;4. Conduct protection interviews, maintain a counseling database and provide regular input on daily actions specified above;5. Support activities and contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation in protection related to AGD based programming with implementing and operational partners.6. Conduct preliminary information gathering and interviews in support of eligibility, status determination, durable solutions and social needs assessment.7. Contribute to a child protection plan as part of the protection strategy.8. Monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all protection/solutions activities.9. Participate in individual protection case management including cases of SGBV and child protection. Monitor and report on cases of refoulement, expulsion and other protection incidents.10. Assist in identifying durable solutions for persons of concern in voluntary repatriation, local integration and where appropriate, resettlement.11. Assist in drafting reports, routine correspondence, updating relevant databases and compiling statistics for the protection unit / section12. Contribute to initiatives to enhance national and local protection capacities.13. Perform other duties as required.
