Accountability (key results that will be achieved)
Registration activities are undertaken in accordance with UNHCR policies, standards and procedures.
Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)
Assist in the registration process for refugees and other persons of concern.
Assist in monitoring the refugee situation including refugee movements in the camp and elsewhere.
Update database for registration.
Prepare reports and project documents by providing information, preparing tables and drafting routine correspondence and reports.
Assist in compilation of data and interpreting the statistics for various reports.
Assist in the development of forms for data collection and analysis, if requested.
Provide statistics and data analysis as required.
May be required to collaborate with implementing partners in charge of distribution of Non-food Items (NFIs) and FIs.
Draft routine correspondence and reports.
Act as interpreter and translator when needed.
Perform other related duties as required.
Authority (decisions made in executing responsibilities and to achieve results)
Refer cases to other units within the office and to implementing partners as necessary.
Decide on the data recorded in database.
Decide on appropriate resolution to data incidents and escalate issues to the supervisor whenever the incident cannot be Resolved within the scope of responsibility.

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position.
- Completion of the Secondary Education with post-secondary training/certificate in Social science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of previous relevant job experience.
- Good computer skills in all desktop applications, particularly with respect to data management competencies.
- Excellent knowledge of English and local language.
2.5 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES. Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc.
- Good knowledge of ProGres (UNHCR database for registration of refugees, returnees and displaced persons).
- Previous experience in UN/UNHCR.
- Experience in managing programme related standards and indicators.
- Training on data analysis particularly in using registration data such as in ProGres.
- Completion of UNHCR learning programmes or specific training relevant to functions of the position.
- Knowledge of another relevant UN or local languages.
