Senior PSP Assistant (Digital Media Buying) - HRR024 - UNOPS - G5 - Beirut, Lebanon

The MENA region is currently hosting the biggest displaced population in its history. As of December 2017, the total number of Syrian refugees has exceeded 5.4 million.

The Syrian refugee population in Lebanon is the largest in the world and represents a significant percentage of Lebanon’s total population.

UNHCR established digital connections to bring a broad base of supporters and leadership partners closer to refugees and UNHCR’s work beside establishing and strengthening relations with different public and private sector partners in the MENA Region to cover funding gaps through digital and traditional multi-channel outreach.

In support of the Leadership Giving (LG) and Individual Giving (IG) programmes in MENA, PSP needs to hire a Senior PSP Assistant (Digital Media Buying). The main purpose of the role is to help increase ROI for current Media buying activities as well as exploring new opportunities to increase traffic and conversions such as mobile ads, and programmatic media buying.

Accountability (key results that will be achieved)

  • Plan Digital Media Buying Activities.
  • Maintain proper follow up on the invoices and confirm the service receipts. 

 

Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)

  • Assist in the development, negotiation, implementation, tracking, reporting and optimization of online media buys.
  • Maintain campaign timelines relating to media deliverables.
  • Ensure campaign setup and accuracy of campaign assets before launch
  • Act as the subject matter expert in online advertising tactics and platforms: Google AdWords, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleClick Search, DoubleClick Bid Manager, and Google Analytics experience
  • Monitor google keywords performance to optimize bids and make sure Ads are not over-spending and reallocate non performing ads/keywords budget to top performing ones.
  • Optimize YouTube ads targeting (behavioral and affiliate targeting) to improve results.
  • Plan digital media buying activities (which platforms should we penetrate, how to reach our target, etc.…).
  • Roll out programmatic media buying and follow up on the progress and handle the testing (implementation, monitoring and optimization).
  • Start Ramadan digital ads placements and targeting strategy with focus on GDNs and other digital platforms trending in the region and globally such as Quora, Bing, and others.
  • Process invoices, maintain financial chart on invoices and campaign finances to ensure that media vendors are paid properly and on time (including partner companies).
  • Analyze web analytics and statistical reports to track progress and provide insights
  • Ensure campaigns are meeting/exceeding partner KPI goals
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Provide support to colleagues and PSP markets with campaign keywords, GDNs targeting, behavioral and affiliate targeting.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position.
Completion of Secondary Education with Certificate/training preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, e-commerce, communication or other associated field, and/or equivalent work experience. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines with a proven relevant professional record will be accepted;
At least 5 years of experience in social media, marketing and/or (youth) engagement , in particular with social media tools and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
Experience in implementing social media strategies for non-profit organizations and/or private sector companies and tracking their success and analyzing results is essential.
Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing for social networking functions.
Ability to integrate PR/comms initiatives with social media marketing.
Understand and can utilize emerging platforms and social media measurement tools including: Awareness, Radian6, Sprout Social, HootSuite, Seesmic, Tweetdeck, Klout, Peer Index, etc.
Experience with SEM and SEO.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES.
Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc.
Significant experience in communications/sales/marketing or related field, with a track record of delivering online engagement campaigns.
Knowledge and practical understanding of main fundraising techniques: mail, telephone, web, database, digital, etc.
Ability to use Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
Able to accurately identify problems and quickly move to a satisfactory resolution.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities within specified timeframes.

Proven skills in communication, networking, strategic thinking, and advocacy.
Strong writing and communication skills and the aptitude to handle competing messages and priorities with multiple audiences, including experience in writing for the web.
Experience in reporting on qualitative and quantitative analytics.
