Senior Resettlement Assistant - Hub

-          Act as a primary focal point for a resettlement operations in the region, and monitor the case processing, oversee the communication and address all enquiries regarding individual cases, quota and policy related issues -          Review and assist in processing resettlement submissions from country offices as part of the Hub’s oversight and quality control over resettlement process in MENA region -          Undertake support missions to assist country offices in processing cases, developing or modifying resettlement SOPs, training and capacity building -          Contribute to the HUB’s policies and strategic planning -          Maintain contacts and coordination with the Resettlement Service/DIP at HQ regarding resettlement issues, including case processing, resettlement quotas, resettlement practices and policies -          Coordinate with resettlement counterparts such asIOM, ICRC and resettlement countries as required on resettlement issues and individual cases. -          Compile country of origin information and information on refugee profiles in MENA, and collect and compile situation reports on protection environment in countries of asylum -          Examine resettlement decisions made by resettlement countries, analyze resettlement criteria and trends and update the relevant policies, accordingly. -          Assist in the preparations and coordination for the Regional Resettlement Meetings and other meetings, as required, and prepare summery reports and follow up on recommendations -          Contribute to the capacity building of resettlement staff in country offices in the region -          Promote mechanisms for preventing fraud in resettlement including sensitizations of the refugee population on the consequences of  fraudulent representation -          Assist in and oversee processing of cases for evacuation to the ETFs. Report on resettlement activities including timely and accurate provision of resettlement statistics
