Lebanon - Syrian Returns & Movements Snapshot (at 10 June 2025)

Refugee returns

Since 8 December 2024, UNHCR estimates some 568,753 Syrians have crossed back to Syria via neighboring countries, including 176,186 via or from Lebanon - half of whom were transiting or temporarily returning. Returns occur through both official and unofficial border crossings, making tracking difficult. Exact figures are pending registration, with UNHCR and the Government of Lebanon set to provide data once organized voluntary return programmes begin, including tracking of demographics, return areas and cross-border verification.
