Community Center Manager

Role and Responsibilities To provide leadership and supervise the implementation of the community center activities in Baalbak according to the Annual Work Plan with UNFPA; ensuring that all programs are in compliance with donor contracts, policies, goals, and objectives  Supervise and guide social workers, midwives and doctor in the preparation of their work plans Provide guidance and support to the center staff, overseeing the implementation of activities under the work plan Manage day to day activities and coordinate logistics with the admin/logistic officer of the community center programs in Baalbak Meet with the organization’s partners and stakeholders to ensure coordination, collaboration and resolve any problems that may arise during project implementation Ensure that all center activities are in compliance with local laws and El-Mithaq Code of Conduct, which is in process of being developed with the assistance of the center manager Prepares comprehensive monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports detailing the progress of project, the challenges faced, lessons learned and the achievements according to donor’s requests. Coordinates all activities within the center and ensures the project has the tools, space, and resources necessary to carry out the necessary project activities Collaborates with Senior Management to contribute to the design of the programs and the delivery of them, and provides support to all functions that facilitate these processes Provides management of and support to all administrative components of the project by supervising the admin/logistic officer. Provides management of and support to all financial components of the project by supervising and liaising with the accountant. Develops the appropriate forms and paperwork necessary to document project and staff activities Oversee the implementation of, and adherence to, Human Resources policies and procedures of El-Mithaq and the donors Conduct interviews, and select well-qualified personnel in collaboration with Senior management Contact with beneficiaries, ensures participation Visibility of donors in all times. Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word etc), with adequate computer and research skills Must have strong ability to maintain interpersonal relationships Diplomatic, with strong communication and negotiation skills Successful in leading teams, and motivating them Must be Fluent in Arabic and English might be challenging I would put it as an asset Must have personal qualities such as: a strong commitment to integrity, respect for diversity, and the ability to inspire others Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, International Relations, International Development, Economics or any other related discipline Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position and in dealing with budgets, team leadership and strategic planning Previous managerial experience in non-governmental organizations preferable Thorough understanding of humanitarian issues, strategies and of non-governmental organizations  Submission guidelines: Applications should include a detailed CV.
