Cash for Work Project Officer - 211666

Support the delivery of project activities during the inception, implementation and closure phases, ensuring that the quality of activities and deliverables complied with a legal agreement and within tolerances. Monitor project status, evaluating performance criteria (scope, cost, schedule and quality) by coordinating with Cash for Work project team and alert any divisions to Project Manager with suggested corrective actions. Assist to identify bottleneck issues and increase chances of inclusion of vulnerable populations, especially women, elderly, disabled and Palestinian Refugees from Syria (PRS) to the Cash for Work project. Alert any financial shortfalls and over-expenditures in conjunction with project targets to Project Manager. Propose corrective action when necessary. Update risk registers and issue logs periodically. Monitor and evaluate the performance of service providers (i.e. contractors) delivering to project outputs. Discuss with service providers and relevant UNRWA departments on corrective actions to meet the project outputs. Assist the delivery of Environmental, Social and Health and Safety commitment plan throughout the project implementation and introduce any corrective actions in case of noncompliance. Prepare, document and disseminate standard operating procedures, guideline notes, best practices and lessons learned to the project team and stakeholders. Assist in drafting meeting minutes, narrative and financial reports. Support Project Manager by monitoring budgets, cash flow and reporting on expense obligations to ensure that deliverables are met. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project activities are carried out as planned. Liaise with Chief Area Officers, Camp and Community Services Officers, department chiefs, and key community representatives in areas to facilitate discussions in order to deliver the project. Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and follow up on outstanding matters. •Monitor social media posts about the project and alert any potential issues to Project Manager. Prepare and deliver a project communication activity. Support in developing and delivering project information, communication materials and events for the target audience in collaboration with the Public Information, with accordance with donors and UNRWA's communication guidelines. Provide administrative and logistical support for the project implementation including payment follow-ups, field visits, and translations. Perform such other duties as may be assigned
