Employment Counsellor

Delivers individual capacity assessment to registered jobseekers to understand their profiles, professional objectives and to identify their skills gaps; ensures that all needed data and information are inserted and processed with the data entry (update on counseling/coaching sessions provided, referral to trainings opportunities, quality of jobs, follow-ups, etc.);

Delivers individualized advisory services (CV making, job seeking techniques, interview techniques) and group motivational workshops on job search techniques to jobseekers; refers registered jobseekers to relevant skill trainings opportunities where needed;

Contacts jobseekers and encourages their applications to job vacancies identified relevant to their profiles and skills; prescreens applications and refers (with letter of reference) relevant candidates to job vacancies identified by the Employment Outreach Counsellor;

Actively liaises with the Employment Outreach Counsellor to ensure a robust strategy for placement of jobseekers, in line with the labor market needs identified;

Ensures through specific monitoring tools that job placements are sustainable and meet criteria of quality and decent work;

Coordinates with and informs, on a weekly basis, the Employment Service Center Officer about the progress, achievements, and main obstacles encountered during the counseling activities; prepares monthly reports.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
