Be responsible for the overall effective and efficient project management including:
In collaboration with the Monitoring & Reporting Officer (M&E), setting up the monitoring and evaluation framework and work plan of the project; monitoring the impact and progress of the projects and designing and implementing changes.
Administering the project’s overall budget; reviewing budget expenditure and ensuring that it is within the frame of the project financial resources, managing appropriate accounting system for the projects in coordination with relevant finance staff;
Establishing projects schedules, analyzing business plan and needs, and prioritizing resource allocation as well as frequent monitoring to evaluate progress, identifying problems and take appropriate and timely action to meet desired goals;
Ensuring the projects progress reports, final report and ad hoc and informal updates to a range of stakeholders are correct for submission through the Field Director;
Facilitating training with a clear needs assessment and focus on outcomes.
Ensure Project Cycle Management is in place, mentor staff on the PCM process, maintain adequate documentation management systems, ensure financial management, engage in verification as required and develop “lessons learned” in order to develop organisational capacity for running and managing the project and its effectiveness.
Work within the organizational structure and mandate of the UNRWA Lebanon and Jordan Field Office to accomplish the project’s objectives, including:
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with project stakeholders and team members to ensure the smooth implementation of the project and ongoing liaison with Head Quarter (HQ) External Relations, Planning and Finance departments;

With support from the Deputy Director, Programs, ensure coordination of the relevant departments (Heath, Relief and Social Services-RSS, protection) for the implementation of the project and relevant cross cutting components (namely Eliminating Violence against Children and MHPSS, the Back to School campaign).
(D) Support the department in implementing and monitoring the Agency’s strategic response to the Syrian Crisis in line with the set approach aiming at provision of essential services to PRS including:
Preparing the interagency appeals for funds – Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP)
Representing UNRWA in sector working group and other coordination meetings.
Collaborating with Programme Support Office (PSO) for the preparation of the Syria Emergency Appeal and report on the set indicators.
Continue to implement an awareness campaign raising the profile and awareness of the project and its outcomes among the beneficiaries, the Lebanese community and a wider audience through the production of videos, press statements, reports, etc. Develop follow up and related proposals to support PRS as required.
Liaises with UN Agencies and NGOS to ensure meeting full coordination, oversight and accountability requirements for the implementation of project activities
Inform the relevant departments at field level and ERCD concerning all suppliers (NGO’s, contractors) before the implementation of project activities.
