Head Mechanic - Employment Roster, 10

Supervises and participates in the preventative and corrective vehicle repair and maintenance works of the workshop;

Inspects and tests the vehicles status before and after repairs; diagnoses problems and determines the nature and extent of repairs required;

Inspects spare parts to be replaced and maintains safe work conditions by assuring that all Agency health and safety standards are well compiled;

Assists the Vehicle Maintenance Officer in:

Updating agency fleet systems to prepare technical reports, provides data for operational reports of vehicle repairs.

Preparation of job cards in the agency electronic system and other administrative work related to the workshop operation.

Conducting the technical training of transport staff with regard to proper handling and maintenance of vehicles, control of fire and safety and security arrangements related to the operation of the workshop, vehicles and other motor transport equipment;

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
