A. Repairs and maintains vehicle and motor transport equipment which may include engine, motor accessory, electrical component repair and/or vehicle painting, and in certain instances, the incumbent shall repair or renew damaged or unserviceable vehicle body components, by straightening, aligning, rebuilding or replacing and painting such components as necessary to restore vehicles to safe and road-worthy conditions operated by the Agency
B. Assists the Head Mechanic in:
i. Determining the repairs required and the parts to be replaced;
ii. Reporting abnormal war or damage discovered in vehicles inspected or repaired;
iii. Inspecting and testing vehicles and equipment;
iv. Technical training of Motor Transport staff.
D. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
