MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
1- Manage the implementation of the different activities of the project with the Chief Field Health Programme and other relevant staff of the health department .
2- Reviews all project documentation with regards to schedule, budget and organization and makes sure that all activities are being performed based on the set schedule.
3- Follows up on the daily implementation of the different activities of the project.
4- Follow up with HR and Health Department on the recruitment/contracts of technical staff under project.
5- Coordinate with finance department on the different types of payments related to the project.
6- Follow up on the technical and logistic issues reported by the staff on the project;
7- Facilitating the creation of a filing and reporting system for the Monaco Diabetes Project;
8- Works in collaboration with the health department management and communication unit to develop and implement an awareness campaign regarding the project
9- Prepares Terms of references and memorandum of understanding as requested.
10- Updates and manages the Database of Palestine Refugees suffering from diabetes and do proper tracking for their records
11- Assists in development of Communication Materials.
12- Prepares the periodic progress reports as requested.
13- Contributes to UNRWA and donor monthly progress reports.
14- Coordinates and collaborates with other staff in the health department.
15- Performs other activities as requested.
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
(A) Academic and Professional
· Master in public health, management, public administration or related fields.
(B) Experience
i) Six years of experience in project management.
(C) Language
· Excellent command of English & Arabic
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Salary: As per relevant salary scale.
Contract Duration: 12 Months Extendable according to availability of funds, needs and performance.
Duty station: Lebanon Field Office , Health Department with expected travels to the areas.
EQUIVALENCY
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered.

UNRWA staff members with fixed term appointments may apply for any consultant/contractor consultancy while in service. Upon selection, a staff member may be offered the consultant/contractor contract upon resignation from fixed term appointments and a three month break-in-service.
Candidates who are no longer employed by the Agency must have a minimum of 3 months break-in-service, before they apply to any consultant/contract positions.

As an Area post, preference will be given to local candidates already based in the duty station of the post.
