In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
Ensures that the approved programme is carried out efficiently, and that equipment and other training facilities are properly maintained, recorded and utilized;
Ensures that lessons, examination preparations, marking and keeping of class records are carried out efficiently;
Checks regularly the weekly progress reports of trainees and advises on necessary educational and/or disciplinary measures to be taken as appropriate; advises supervisor on the general progress of each course and stresses on individual cases of failure to achieve necessary improvements;
Prepares developmental plans for Vocational Training Instructors of the course or group of courses in his/her specialization;
Teaches in his/her subject of specialization as and when required;
Participates in the recruitment and selection of trainees for the various courses in his/her technical/trade group;
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
