Special Education Needs Coordinator, Lebanon Field Office, Band E VN 255145

Assesses the needs of each child referred by local KGs/ Institution RSS staff and local schools;

Coordinate with specialized institutions to review the IEP of each RSSD sponsored students with disabilities (SSWDs) in contracted specialized institutions, to ensure that each SSWDs meets the objectives identified;

Observes, evaluates, and prepares reports on progress of SSWDs within contracted institutions s; and Maintains accurate service provision records and files.

Coordinate with the specialized contracted institutions to develop coordination Family Support Committees for the families of the SSWDs at institutions level where needed.

Regularly facilitating focus groups for the youth SSWDs, families and reports to RSSD Programme in coordination with the contracted institutions

Suggesting new areas of joint programming in close coordination with the RSSD Education Programme and National NGOs

Undertake field visits to the contracted institutions; prepare interim/annual progress reports on the progress of the SSWDs and provide RSSD with the adequate information regarding difficulties /challenges and suggest appropriate recommendations or actions with direct supervisor
