Under the direct supervision of the Head of Unit, the External Partnerships Officer will perform the following tasks;
Support projects and operational activities that maintain and develop government partnerships in order to maximise resources raised for the programme.
Contribute to the management of a portfolio of partnerships, providing coordination, data and analysis to support effective solicitation of contributions, donor stewardship and assessment of results.
Draft proposals for onward submission through the coordination with functional units including Programme, Resource Management and Finance.
Highlight fundraising opportunities and resourcing issues to stakeholders through briefs and/or participation in the Strategic Programme Review Process (s-PRP) and the Electronic Programme
Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting on donors and programmes, to enable informed decision-making and action planning by senior stakeholders.
Provide regular information to educate new and potential donors on the strategy, design, relevance and impact of programmes, to advocate the work of WFP.
Support the preparation of Standard Project Reports (SPRs) for the Annual Reporting Exercise in collaboration with the country office programme, monitoring & evaluation and resource management functions by coordinating to ensure coherence and quality of performance information.
Support staff in assigned area to ensure that standard procedures and templates are followed to drive the quality, consistency and standardisation of information management and performance reporting across WFP.
