Within delegated authority under the direct supervision of the IT Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Monitor, manage, test, troubleshooting, resolve and support all enterprise systems responsible for daily operations of IT services and maintaining proper data and voice connectivity for all users in CO and between CO and SO, ensuring appropriate data security and access controls of ICT systems aligned with business needs, in accordance with WFP corporate standards. Install and un-Install computer equipment’s and WFP corporate software / applications as required for WFP users. Service computer’s and IT related hardware ensuring a minimum downtime and maximum uptime, Install any hardware upgrades for IT infrastructure and Install and un -install computer equipment and software as requires. Support conferencing services including setting up teleconference, video teleconference, and presentation equipment. Set up, control and maintain the performance of all radio communications equipment in the country. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency needs to be met. Ensure all work is performed to meet Corporate and Industry standards and all internal processes are documented and reviewed periodically. Provide Service Desk support, logging and troubleshooting problems as they arise, updating the knowledge base and recommending long term solutions. Provide remote support to WFP Sub Offices and conduct field missions when required. Plan, schedule and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Carry out routine tasks of systems and equipment (Data Backup, Network and systems monitoring, server and running system diagnose, data security assurance and infected machines cleansing). Provide user support, hands-on training, and advise for all IT and related matters, providing basic training to IT focal points in Sub-Offices. Support the development of standard materials such as training documentation and web content on behalf of senior officers, to ensure staff have access to required information about IT services and products. Manage technology SIM cards Stock, coordinate with Mobile Operators to activate / deactivate services according to WFP policy and follow-up invoice payment with finance. Follow-up with local vendors on services they provide. Follow-up with procumbent on IT purchase delivery. Work closely with the team and provide advice support to managers and users, understanding and resolving issues, and ensuring IT policies, procedures, systems and tools are correctly applied to support them. Interact effectively with internal and external colleagues and user groups to understand their needs and provide appropriate technical support. Able to work independently without supervision to ensure tasks are done in a professional and timely manner Be proactive rather than reactive to the unit and office needs and discuss ideas to provide enhanced and efficient services Provide detail reports on all of the above. Perform other related duties as required.
