Programme Policy Officer (Livelihoods & Innovation)

Within delegated authority under the direct supervision of the Head of Programme, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Drive forward the local digital skills training and work project in Lebanon; Support build-up of strong partnership network; Oversee the operations and day-to day-management; Support other WFP country offices in the region looking to pilot a similar module; Support the Programme Unit in other ad-hoc tasks as deemed necessary.   OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS   Strong Communication skills to engage with various stakeholders from different sectors and backgrounds, ability to interact with leaders and external audience with maturity and tact, ability to interact with vulnerable groups of people. Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy. Outstanding organizational and time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, and to work within tight deadlines. Acute problem solving mind-set, with ability to proactively solve challenges quickly and efficiently. Strong drive, self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy. High sense of compassion, able to genuinely empathize with people and energize teams with a positive and encouraging attitude Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the UN World Food Programme. Exposure to both European/North-American markets and the Middle East is a plus
