This support is designed to improve the students’ health and make them and their families more motivated to pursue the children’s right to education

Organizational Context:

The incumbent will be based in Beirut and may need to travel frequently to the field offices in different parts of the country.

 

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will report to the Digital Assistance Services (DAS) Team Lead and will be responsible for successful delivery of DAS operational objectives as determined by the DAS Lead.

 

Duration

12 months (renewable based on business need and performance) 

 

Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of Digital Assistance Services (DAS) team lead, the IT Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the deployment, implementation and use of WFP standard Digital Assistnace Services (DAS): software, applications, programs, utilities or auxiliary software.
  • Provide 1st level support and problem analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of DAS application problems for end-users, implementing corrective solutions or escalation to appropriate persons as required.
  • Provide end to end operational support for all transfers modalities supported by digital solutions.
  • Regularly monitors and following up on all pending tickets and issues registered with Digital Assistnace tools and working with the different teams/ service desk or support staff for resolution and closure.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and the delivery of trainings on Cash Transfer and in-kind Programming/ Digital Assistance transfers. Provide trainings and on job coaching to WFP focal points, cooperating partners, retailers FSPs and other WFP affiliated stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with IT infrastructure team on the maintenance of systems and hardware to ensure technology is running effectively for the field operations.
  • Support DAS lead and developers with end-user engagement, e.g., requirement gathering, process mapping, meeting scheduling and follow-up
  • If applicable, support the DAS and IT infrastructure team with DevOps.
  • Perform other related duties when required.

 

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of Secondary School Education. University Degree in Information Technology or other related field would be an advantage.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of work experience in IT support, system administration, solution development, networking, or IT project management.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic languages.

 

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Very good command of Microsoft Office applications and products.
  • Has gained additional exposure building relationships with the business counterparts on key IT initiatives.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals.
  • Good attention to detail in order to identify data discrepancies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions
