English Language Teachers

USPEaK is a Lebanese Organization that raises the level of social engagement and public achievement among youth and women. USPEaK's mission is to serve better education, raise the level of awareness, promote citizenship, and build democracy foundations and a peaceful country.

USPEaK is seeking Online English Language Female Teachers for its program “Teaching Women Enhanced English” which is funded by the Public Affairs Section in the U.S. Embassy, Beirut. The Teacher will be teaching adult women learners (18- 45 years) from different regions in Lebanon. Teachers will teach 100 hours of English over a period of 6-7 months. They will be responsible for assessing and guiding students to ensure their progress within the course. The program will teach women intermediate level of English in a thematic approach that addresses issues like women's rights, freedom of speech, basic economics among others. 

Teachers should be able to use high technology in their online classrooms. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of classes based on the curriculum provided by USPEaK
• Teaching with a focus on active and interactive learning, and always following USPEaK’s Code of Conduct.
• Facilitate learning by creating a positive environment Online and organizing learning resources.
• Setting and adapting objectives according to the level of acquisition.
• Guide and assist learners to guarantee optimum level of learning and development.
• Hold classes and organize activities for learners based on the approved curriculum and schedule.
• Introduce assessment measures and materials to properly evaluate student’s progress based on the program’s set guidelines and benchmarks.
• Conduct student assessments as guided by USPEaK.
• Develop and submit student progress and attendance reports based on the set timeline.
• Using Zoom as a platform of learning with its tools (whiteboards, polls, etc.)
• Attendance of online meetings, trainings, and workshops.
• Providing input to the Educational Coordinator about delivering classes.

N.B. The rate is 15 USD per hour
