PROJECT MANAGER Objectives set with officers, mainly relating to the quality of programme work in specialism for project or programme and the implementing team.  Required to make sound judgments using technical knowledge, good understanding of the teams and cost effective use of the available resources Problem solving related to the defined areas and mainly of technical nature in Food security and livelihoods. The Problem-solving and analysis involves decision-making with officers and technical advisor  Technical contribution in identifying, defining and providing evidence for innovative approaches and instruments for food security and livelihoods programming. Develops a shared analysis of food security and livelihoods issues to inform policy and practice internally and externally for the sector issues. . Give guidance and direction to staff in specialist areas Frequent negotiations and representation with partners, Other INGOs, Government staff and local authorities and external communication for operational work.  Knowledge required includes understanding of and the relevance to food security and livelihoods issues. Ensures effective planning, monitoring and implementation of food security and livelihoods programmes working with partners, consortium members and wide range of stakeholders. JOB RESPONSABILITIES: Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of Syria Crisis Program Monitor and report on progress throughout the program Recruiting specialists and sub-contractors monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained Overseeing accounting, costing and billing. Assign, schedule, review, and monitor project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget. Mentor and provide expertise to other project team members. Maintain effective communication and working relationships with partners and project team members. Be accountable for project results along with the Director. Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to the Director. Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.
