Project Overview:

CARE project (Comprehensive Assistance for Resilience and Empowerment) is a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting displaced populations, with a particular focus on empowering youth and addressing the needs of pregnant women. The project seeks to enhance resilience by providing comprehensive services, including awareness sessions, and skill-building activities tailored to the unique challenges faced by these vulnerable groups. By fostering empowerment and promoting self-reliance, CARE aims to improve the overall well-being of both displaced individuals and host communities while preserving their dignity and strengthening their ability to rebuild their lives as well we enhancing the synergy and social cohesion. 

 

General Information about Venture Association: Venture Association in North Lebanon announces its need for an Art Trainer. To work within the project “CARE project (Comprehensive Assistance for Resilience and Empowerment)”- Funded by NEAR

Purpose of the Role

The Art Trainer will design and deliver art-based training sessions aimed at enhancing creativity, self-expression, and emotional well-being among participants. This role focuses on empowering individuals through art and fostering a supportive environment for skill development and personal growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Training Design and Delivery

  • Develop structured training plans and materials tailored to the needs of participants.
  • Facilitate interactive art workshops using various mediums (e.g., painting, sculpture, drawing, Mosaic).
  • Encourage self-expression and creativity while teaching foundational art techniques.
  • Adapt training content to align with the project's objectives and participants' skill levels.

Participant Engagement

  • Motivate and inspire participants to explore their artistic potential.
  • Provide individual guidance and constructive feedback to support participants' growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where participants feel encouraged to share their work.

Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with the project team to align art activities with broader project goals.
  • Assist in organizing exhibitions or showcases to display participants' artwork.
  • Coordinate with other trainers or team members for interdisciplinary activities if required.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track participants' attendance, engagement, and progress throughout the program.
  • Collect feedback from participants to improve the quality of training sessions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on workshop outcomes, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in delivering art training or workshops.
    • Experience working with diverse groups, including youth, women, or vulnerable and displaced populations, is preferred.

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in various art forms and mediums.
    • Ability to design engaging and interactive training sessions.
    • Knowledge of therapeutic or expressive art techniques is a plus.

 

  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience and the ability to inspire and motivate participants.
    • Creativity and flexibility to adapt to participants' needs.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Arabic is required, English is Plus

Key Deliverables

  • Conduct a total of 12 art trainings or workshops (each is 9 hours training) in Tripoli and Akkar
  • Organize a showcase of participants' work during the project period.
  • Submit regular progress reports and document participants' success stories.
