School based Retention Program Teacher

General Information about Venture Association: Venture Association/Al Qadisyeh in Naher Al Bared Camp announces the need for a School-based Retention Program Teacher. To work within the project:

 “Strengthening access to quality and inclusive education services for the vulnerable boys and girls of the Palestinian refugee communities in Lebanon”- The project is implemented in partnership with TDH-ITALY and funded by UNICEF.

• Duty Station/Location: Inside UNRWA schools – Naher Al Bared Camp
• Working Days: 5 days a week  
• Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and educating students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
• Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager.
• Assigning the needs of students and using knowledge and specialized skills to support students’ learning;
• Working with selected students, on individual and small group basis, in learning support interventions specifically designed to support their needs; and the basic skills in Arabic, English and Math.
• Providing objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on students’ achievement, progress and other matters.
• Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents.
• Undertaking any other duties, as may be required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience working in Active and Inclusive Learning support.
• Bachelor’s degree of one of educational majors (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Sciences)
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic languages.
• Experience in computer skills "computer programs", experience in social networking sites and creating educational videos.

• Salary Range: 350 $ per month

Job Procedures:

• Shortlisted Candidates will be invited for a Technical Test (60% of total Grade) & interview (40% of total grade) conducted in English
• Priority will be given to fully qualify registered Palestinian refugees’ candidates residing in Naher Al Bared camp and its surroundings.
• Only the top 05 Candidates ranks in the technical test will be invited for the interview.
