To date, Voluntās has implemented more than 250 projects in volatile regions with partners including UN agencies, the EU, USAID, and international NGOs. With offices in Beirut, Copenhagen, Dakar, Mumbai, Nairobi, Kyiv, and Tunis, we have ongoing projects across East and North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Ukraine. Our work spans policy and programming, needs assessments, perception studies, contextual analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. Thematic areas include environment and climate change, conflict resolution, employment, food security, gender, governance, human rights, migration, political economy, prevention of violent extremism, public health, WASH, and youth. 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in either Beirut, Dakar, Kyiv, or Tunis to support our business development and project imagination efforts.

Role & Responsibilities 

• Support the development of high quality technical and financial proposals for donors, UN agencies, international NGOs, and other partners. 
• Contribute to the design of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and concepts (scoping, sampling, instruments, analytical frameworks)
• Conduct market research related to thematic and geographic areas of interest
• Engage in outreach and network-building efforts
• Contribute to the strategic development of our Business Development/Project Imagination unit
• Provide ad-hoc support to projects and wider organizational strategy where needed

  Main Competencies

• Previous experience working on research and/or business development in the international development sector
• Excellent writing and analysis capabilities
• Great command of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiarity with data visualization and presentation methods (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI), familiarity with relevant tools (Stata, R, SPSS, NVivo, Atlas.ti, Python, or others).
• Bachelors in economics, political science, sociology, international development, law, or relevant field (required) – MA desired.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and French. Arabic and other languages an asset
