Result areas

Planning and Monitoring the project’s implementation 

Ensures that there is an implementation plan in place;

Supports partners in implementing the project in accordance with the proposed activities in the project plan;

Ensures that the War Child core principles are integrated into all project activities;

Ensures that the project team communicates effectively with the children and communities that are stakeholders in the project;

Ensures the use of the WCH tools and formats for planning and monitoring unless it is agreed that other tools and formats will be used.

Result: The project is monitored in such a manner that all issues are discussed and all concerns are reported

Coordinating and Representing WCH

Act as the main focal point with local partners – Regularly communicates and coordinates with all partners in the field;

Assessing partners’ capacity in cooperation with PM;

Provides the partners with competency-building support and organizational capacity-building support;

Communicating on security issues affecting the program;

Ensures and promotes the integration of WCH core values and principles (humanitarian principles, do no harm, the best interest of the child, child participation, etc.) into all project activities with the support of the PM;

Coordinates with the operations department to ensure all operational activities are performed;

Coordinates skill building and conferences as necessary.

Result: Coordination with various groups is conducted in such a way that requests are answered for Child Safety and Protection and concerns are reported.

Knowledge and Experience

Degree in social sciences or related field

At least 2 years of relevant employment experience;

Preferably previous experience working with children/refuges/vulnerable populations

Skills and Competencies

Strong communication skills Fluency in Arabic and English

Flexibility Cultural sensitivity

Attention to detail with strong follow-up

Team-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently and independently

Proficient in Ms Office - word processing, spreadsheets, etc “Commitment to the vision and goals of War Child Holland in Lebanon, including adherence to the Child Safety Policy, is essential”
