Educational Technology Trainer

Scope of work

The overall purpose of consultancy is to enhance educator’s skills on remote teaching and learning, The consultant is requested to design and deliver training packages in Arabic.

The consultant will be expected to deliver a Two days training. Training workshop is expected to be face to face initially if feasible, otherwise, delivery would be remotely via Zoom, Skype or Teams.

Key deliverables:

• Undertake virtual survey and needs assessment for the participants (survey to be conducted in Arabic).
• Develop a 10 (5 hours each day) hours interactive training workshop in Arabic, training plan and materials needed for the delivery of training workshops.
• The training workshop shall include but not limited to:
  1. 1. Remote Teaching Strategies
     2. Remote Learning Assessment
     3. Remote Group/Class Management.
• Deliver Two-days training workshop for 25 participants.
• Develop a detailed evaluation of the workshop by the participants so that the workshop/training materials can be improved according to the participant feedback.
• Develop training workshop agenda in coordination with WCH education department.
• Develop handouts, training materials and assessment (Arabic)
• Develop report(s) underlying covered themes, participants’ progress, and further recommendations. Report shall be solely in English.

4. Participants

Participants are education officers from WCH and local partners.

5. Schedule

The tentative date of the assignment is expected before February 28, 2022. Precise dates will be agreed on after induction meeting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education/educational Technology or any relevant field
• 3 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
• Extensive experience in teaching
• Knowledge of NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus
• Experience in designing, developing, and presenting training programs
