GENERAL EU funded project: Strengthening the learning support sector for Palestinian refugees in South Lebanon The teachers of Learning Support classes are key to the success of ultimately delivering quality services to children and improving their educational outcomes. As such, WCH has been developing a manual which will both increase the ability of NGOs to better build capacity and manage the human resources of teachers, as well as to increase the capacity of teachers in learning support teaching methods specifically.   Therefore, the consultant will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact and are in line with the manual and its content. The consultant will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.     DELIVERABLES Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts; Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval; meeting Project Coordinator and other relevant staff within WCH  to discuss the manual objectives and requirements of the job; interpreting the manual  needs and developing a concept to suit its purpose; developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research and the manual; thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts suitable for the manual; using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time; presenting finalized ideas and concepts to Project Coordinator and WCH managers; contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief; demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches; Estimating the time required to complete the work and ability to work to deadlines.   MANAGEMENT The work will be carried out under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and in close cooperation with the Program Manager.   FACILITIES AND SUPPORT Facilities: The consultant may make use of WCH drivers and vehicles where travel is required. Transportation within Beirut for work purposes will be provided.   Support: In addition to support from those team members listed above, there is the support from the project field officer.
