Speech Therapist

  • The speech-language pathologist (SLP) will be working on preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children.
  • They will be providing aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard to hear.
  • They will be providing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or progressive neurological disorders.
  • They will be evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • They will be writing reports about their work with each child.
  • They will be providing group sessions to teachers and caregivers.
  • They will be working collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.

 

 

Necessary experience:

 

Education level:

 

Master’s degree in Speech and language pathology.

 

Required skills:

  • Flexible
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Working under pressure
  • Possibility of working during weekends
  • Familiar with Excel, word, Outlook, google drive, Zoom

 

Years of experience: 

 

Minimum 3 years of experience with children with special needs.
