Empowering CSOs & CBOs
Call for Expression of Interest
WeWorld is excited to invite Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to submit an Expression of Interest for the " SAFE: Sustainable Agri-Food Economy for refugee and local communities in vulnerable governorates of Lebanon".
SAFE project is implemented by WeWorld in partnership with Mada Association and the Lebanese Workers Rights Organization (LWRO). The SAFE project is part of the European Regional Development and Protection Program for Jordan and Lebanon 2023-2026 (RDPP III), supported by various European countries.
Aim of the Project
The project aims to identify capable local organizations in Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel areas to implement initiatives under ONLY one of two categories:
- emergency response during the 2026 escalations in Lebanon focusing on:
- Child Protection
- Gender-Based Violence
- Social inclusion and social cohesion
- Distribution of Ready to Eat Meals
- Community Kitchens and Kitchen Equipment Support
- MHM Kits for Women and Girls
- Cash for Work
- Environmental Health and Waste Management in Shelters
- community support initiatives within the Agri-food sector, focusing on:
- Child Protection
- Gender-Based Violence
- Decent Working Conditions
What the program offers
- Financial Grants up to 5,000USD, Support to selected organizations to implement proposed community projects
- Capacity Building Support, Training and technical support to strengthen organizational and project implementation capacities
Conditions of Participation
- Must be a registered CSO or CBO
- Must have at least Three (3) years actively implementing similar projects
- Must have a minimum of 5 active members and/or employees
- Willing to implement the proposed activities in:
Zahle District, West Baalbeck and Baalbeck for emergency respons .
West Baalbek municipalities: Bednayel, Bouday, Btedaai, Chlifa, Haouch Rafqa, Deir Ahmar, Haouch Barada, Haouch Nabi, Haouch Snaid, Hizzine, Iaat, Kfar Dane, Qsarnaba, Saaideh, Taraya, Tamnine Faouqa, Chmestar or Hadath Baalbek for community support initiatives
