Inclusion Coordinator

GVC is an Italian NGO founded in 1971. Actually is working in 22 countries worldwide. GVC presence in Lebanon dates back to the begin of Syrian Crisis and since then GVC has been implementing emergency and development projects in Bekaa financed by International Donors mainly in WASH sector. Job Title: Inclusion Coordinator Project Framework: Improving social inclusion and accessibility to humanitarian service of Syrian and Lebanese people with disabilities in North Bekaa (OCHA Funded project) Duty Station: El-Ain (with frequent travels to Zahle) Line Manager: Project Manager Responsible for: The Inclusion Coordinator will ensure follow up of inclusive results in terms of integrated protection shelter activities as well as ensuring smooth complementary with other programming, especially the Community-based Protection Approach (CPA). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure Protection activities are guided by the GVC protection strategy; Manage, mainstream and assure consistency in the provision of preventive and responsive protection services tailored to specific needs of people with disabilities in all targeted areas; Supervise the needs assessment of persons with disabilities among Syrian refugees in urban and rural area through GVC case management workers, the regular equity and quantitative analyses of people with disabilities’ specific contextual protection risks (including barriers to shelter/settlements) and coping strategies; Ensure the addressing of context-identified pushing factors endangering protection and inclusion; Ensure assistance to the community-based psycho-social initiative through family networks and involvement of children in order to support inclusion and development of new skills; Organize awareness-raising sessions with community members to promote rights and inclusion of people with disabilities, including attitudinal, environmental and information barriers in targeted ITSs (informal tent settlements) and municipalities; Support the organization of specific training sessions made by technical service in the area of intervention; Capitalization of lesson learned and in the implementation of advocacy activities in favour of persons with disabilities in the humanitarian response; Lead the systematization and elaboration of synergies between the Protection team, the WASH and the info management team; Draft result-based reports based in collaboration with the Case Management Officers, the Protection Officer and the Protection Coordinator; Supervise referral and follow-up of specific cases (medical assistance, WASH water sanitation and hygiene, Basic need assistance, & SGBV Sexual Gender Based Violence) to ensure impartial and coordinated provision of assistance by third parties Management: Oversee programme implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities according to donor requirement   Ensure result-based monitoring of activities and provide on-time internal reports Participate in project evaluations and assist in the analysis of the results, assess project impact and effective use of resources. Provide supervision, guidance and monitoring for programme staff, ensuring clarity over programme plans and priorities and encouraging effective team work. Facilitate regular staff meetings to ensure awareness of programme objectives, and opportunity for feedback Provide, on a bi-monthly base, staff coaching and technical supervision to develop ownership / responsibility for project Communication and coordination: Participate in the relevant Bekaa thematic Working Groups, such as Shelter, Protection or Health and feeding back to Project Manager •      Develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent and supportive communication structures with the assigned programme staff, the GVC WASH sector coordinator with the objective of ensuring good cooperation and partnerships. REPORTING To the Project Manager PERSONAL AND INTER-PERSONAL SKILLS Arabic and Fluency in spoken and written English Highly organised and able to work independently and respecting deadlines Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility and willingness to work long hours Being flexible and with the ability to adjust to changes and new requirements
