Project Field Coordinator

WeWorld-GVC has been working in Lebanon since 2006 and is now supporting vulnerable populations through WASH, shelter, basic assistance and protection interventions aiming at increasing the resilience of the concerned communities, in North Bekaa (Baalbek-Hermel Governorate) and in Akkar.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Project management:

• Responsible in guaranteeing the good implementation and follow up and monitoring of the activities in the field;
• Report on daily and weekly basis to the Project Manager, all the updates related to the developing project activities;
• Translate all relevant documents from/to English and Arabic.
• Report to and discuss with Project Manager any technical issues which may have a direct impact on the general implementation of the project and people need;
• Help design and revise the project work-plan, and monitor that the implementation of the activities respects the time-table milestones and deadlines;
• Support in carrying out the final selection of the beneficiaries by applying the defined criteria;
• Develop a good knowledge of the intervention areas, communities, socio-economic conditions, needs and constraints;
• Assist and supervise the Field Engineers, in the coordination and planning of works;
• Follow up the delivery and storage;
• Ensure that control is done at reception and delivery of items with the support of related tools (reception forms, delivery notes, waybills etc…);

Coordination:

• Ensure the participation in relevant WG;
• Ensure a professional relation with suppliers and Local Authorities;

Reporting:

• Responsible to prepare the monthly project report and Sectors’ reporting (Activity Info);
• Drafting of intermediate and final narrative reports for donors

Qualifications:

• Master degree in Social Science, Humanitarian Studies, Project Management or any other relevant studies.
• 3 years of experience in humanitarian/development projects, specifically in the Cash for Work sector
• Good knowledge of the Akkar’ Region context
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic language skills
