Social Media and Community Engagement Officer

About Wingwoman Lebanon

WingWoman Lebanon (WWL) is not your typical NGO. It is a women-led NGO with a social enterprise model working at the intersection of menstrual health, livelihoods, and dignity. Through the local production of reusable menstrual pads and diapers, WWL creates meaningful income opportunities for women while responding to urgent humanitarian needs across Lebanon and the region. Alongside production, we run awareness sessions and skills-based trainings that build confidence, community, and a growing network of women changemakers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the primary voice of WingWoman Lebanon across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed)
  • Plan, create, and manage engaging content (static posts, carousels, reels, stories)
  • Develop creative digital campaigns that raise awareness around menstrual health, dignity, sustainability, and women’s livelihoods
  • Ensure the voices of our team and program participants are heard
  • Actively engage with our online community with warmth, responsiveness, and care
  • Support community growth by inspiring advocates and supporters to champion our work
  • Collaborate with partners, influencers, and team members to amplify WWL’s mission
  • Attend events, visit projects when needed, and capture authentic content from the field
  • Track basic engagement metrics and adapt content accordingly
  • Enhance external communications materials, such as presentations, info sheets, and impact reports to strengthen partnerships and improve visibility.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong passion for women’s empowerment, social justice, and environmental sustainability
  • Proven social media skills and confidence using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent written communication skills in English and Arabic (French is a plus)
  • Strong storytelling ability and understanding of how to engage online audiences
  • Excellent Canva skills; experience with or interest in learning tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or CapCut is a plus
  • Comfortable interacting with communities, partners, and program participants
  • Organized, creative, and able to work independently
  • A big heart, initiative, and a good sense of humour ✨
