Main tasks
Women Now for Development is looking for her new financial coordinator, she/he will be responsible on all financial operations in Lebanon to ensure the financial stability for the organization activities and center, in details, the financial coordinator responsibilities are going to be:
- Financial management:
- Manage the financial team consisting of a financial officer and logistic officer
- Ensure the financial policies and procedures are applied
- Prepare financial planning for the organization in Lebanon “provisional budget – forecast” and ensure the implementing is in line with the plan
- Prepare all bank transfers and payments under the board supervision and in coordination with the country manager
- Ensure financial transactions are registered in Quick Books accounting software
- Ensure monthly closing, bank reconciliation and cash count are implemented on time
- Maintain an archive for all the financial documents
- Coordinate with the legal accountant and the financial manager to prepare the annual financial statements and organizational yearly audit.
- Prepare financial report for the board and respond to their questions
- Projects and donor relation
- Communicate with donors in the preparation phase and respond to their due diligence requirements
- Prepare projects’ budgets in coordination with the management department
- Finalize budget and contracting process with donors
- Make sure reporting to donors is done on time in a sound quality, and respond to donors’ questions
- Make sure project spending is done according to the budget forecast, and alert the program team in case important variation happens to follow up with the donor any possible budget revision
- Prepare for audit if required, and respond to auditors’ questions
- Capacity building:
- Revise and enhance financial procedures
- Prepare development plan for the financial team
- Coaching the financial team and provide advice when needed
- Other tasks that might be required from the financial coordinator
Knowledge and experiences
Master degree in finance or equivalent
Three years experience in similar position “preferred in nonprofit sector”
Required skills
Proven supervision and team management skills
Coordination and problem solving skills.
Good level in English “written and spoken”
Previous experience in using accounting software, “preferably Quick Books”
Good knowledge in using Office pack “Excel – Word”
