1. Background Information
Women’s Programs Association (WPA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization, legally registered with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities since 2008. WPA’s primary target are Palestinian refugee women and youth in Lebanon who are recipients of variety of programs / activities including capacity building like awareness raising, vocational training, literacy, and PSS services and financial and non-financial services and employment and social integration.
WPA’s mission is to build a generation of women and youth with equal rights and opportunities to assume active role in the development of their community and to increase their opportunities for decent livelihood by building their knowledge, capacity, and assets. This is achieved through series of programs and activities under four sectors, namely, Livelihood, Protection, Education and Social Stability.
2. Responsibilities
• Assist the Program Manager in overseeing the implementation of projects / activities in WPA’s centers.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the projects implemented in the centers.
• Follow up with the Project Coordinators and the center supervisors the progress of the projects / activities.
• Maintain up-to-date data about the projects / activities
• Collect data from the center supervisors as and when required Review and consolidate the reports received from the eight center supervisors on monthly basis
• Draft progress reports and final reports for the donors
• Coordinate weekly calendars for the eight centers with the respective center supervisors
• Prepare an agenda for the monthly field visits to the eight camps in coordination with the Program Manager
• Performing administrative tasks such as schedule meetings and prepare minutes of meetings and keep up-to-date documents of all projects.
• Participate in workshops, training and meetings as assigned by the Program Manager
• Complete any other tasks assigned by the Program Manager in an efficient and timely manner
3. Qualifications
• Degree in Business Administration, Political Sciences or a related field.
• At least two years-experience in project management or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Strong attention to details and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
