Project Description Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teacher Improvement 2 (D-RASATI 2) is a project that aims at enhancing student achievement in Lebanese public schools by training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, developing school leadership and building the capacity and tools necessary to support school improvement planning. D-RASATI 2 is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Job Description Coordination with D-RASATI team and MEHE • Coordinates with D-RASATI 2 coaches in field locations and work in a team to provide capacity building and follow up plans that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in the field. • Liaise with MEHE and DOPS staff and coordinate the implementation of PSS activities in collaboration with relevant Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) departments. • Coordinates trainings, workshops and conferences in collaboration with relevant staff. • Play a leading role in coordinating amongst the various coaches and consultants supporting the development and implementation of the PSS component. • Support MEHE departments in the effective integration of PSS activities and best practices into project activities and deliverables. Data collection and documentation • Collects and documents feedback from the field on the implementation of the methodology including challenges and lessons learnt. • Ensure relevant data is collected periodically and filed to D-RASATI / MEHE requirements. • Provide periodic reports tracking progress and highlighting achievements and gaps. Monitoring and Evaluation • Develop and implement needs assessments to identify training needs of concerned parties aiming to meet the teaching, learning, and psycho-social needs of students, teachers, and principals in communities hosting Syrian refugees. • In coordination with other team members, develop monitoring mechanisms to track progress on PSS activities and provide feedback for continuous improvement • Develops training and progress reports Other • Act as liaison focal point between the D-RASATI and the MEHE teams. • Any other tasks as assigned relevant to the content. Qualifications • Master’s degree in Development Studies, Education, or related field and 3 years of progressive experience designing and implementing education programs strongly preferred • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 6 years of progressive experience designing and implementing education programs will be considered • Experience managing/coordinating education programs • Very good organization skills / previous experience in trainings preferred. • Very good coordination skills / ability to follow up on various tasks in parallel • Readiness to learn and adapt to new techniques and approaches. • Maintains confidentiality and respect towards colleagues and beneficiaries. • Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills • Team player and adaptable to working under pressure and handling multiple tasks. • Good reporting skills. • Computer skills: proficiency in current office software applications • Languages: Proficiency in English and Arabic.
