Background:  World Learning is the lead implementer for the D-RASATI II project in Lebanon.  D-RASATI II   supports education reform in Lebanon by training English, science and math teachers in English language; developing school-based extra-curricular activities; providing schools with ICT equipment and training; and building the capacity school leadership development in order to enhance student achievement in public schools.  World Learning seeks a Deputy Chief of Party to provide operations and technical leadership to the project, in collaboration with the project’s Chief of Party. Deputy Chief of Party (Full time position) The  Deputy Chief of Party will work closely with the Chief of Party to manage the project. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:   Coordinate field office activities and operations, in collaboration with the COP. Provide daily oversight of project staff to ensure smooth operations and project performance Track and manage program costs, in collaboration with the Finance and Administration Manager Track office’s submissions of program reports throughout the project Support HR-related activities, in collaboration with the COP. Serve as a key liaison among implementing partners, MEHE and USAID. Represent and coordinate activities with implementing partners, MEHE and USAID. Represent World Learning at meetings, professional events and conferences, as needed throughout the project. Serve as Acting Chief of Party (COP) during absences.      Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Education, social sciences or a related discipline. Strong experience in managing development programs for results. USAID experience preferred. Experience with management of field office operations on development programs. USAID project experience preferred. Solid knowledge of the Lebanese context. Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English and Arabic. Strong team leadership capabilities. Knowledge or experience with USAID’s HICD model desirable
