Education and Policy Expert Consultant- Porticus Project

The Porticus-funded “Towards a Social and Emotional Learning Policy for Children in Lebanon” aims to devise a national roadmap toward establishing solid foundations from which to facilitate the development of a comprehensive SEL policy for Lebanon; policies in SEL will ensure a systematic integration and institutionalization of an SEL culture into both formal and non-formal educational system.

World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based = Porticus-funded “Towards a Social and Emotional Learning Policy for Children in Lebanon."

The responsibilities of the Education and Policy Expert Consultant include:

• Attending weekly internal meetings with the project team to provide updates and insights, discuss the project progress, identify challenges, and suggest ways forward.
• Establishing effective communication with relevant stakeholders and contributing in setting mechanisms of engagements, coordination, and collaboration. 
• Collaborating in designing research, developing tools, and analyzing data.
• Contributing to drafting and conducting focus group discussion, key informant interviews, surveys, data collection protocols, and in-depth interviews. 
• Designing and delivering capacity-building sessions as needed.
• Participating in meetings with different stakeholders.
• Collaborating with team to produce technical documents and academic papers that contribute to the field of SEL and policy development.
• Contributing to the synthesis of research findings into a comprehensive final report, incorporating feedback from team members and stakeholders.
• Attending training and conferences as required.  
• Representing World Learning at working groups and meetings.
• Performing other related duties as required, including support to other World Learning projects.
