USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI 2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has a volunteering opportunity for its Beirut-based “Volunteer” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI 2) in Lebanon. This position is for a Lebanese national.
Main responsibilities:
- Payment Filing: Help in filing and organizing documents to maintain an orderly financial record system.
- Trackers Update: Regularly update payment and VAT trackers to accurately reflect current data.
- Archive Filing: Assist in the filing process of financial documents in the new office archive room.
- Follow Up: Follow up with various suppliers for preparation and collection of invoices and receipts.
- Verification: Review and validation of monthly money transfer payments.
- Collaboration: Work with the finance team to provide support on various financial tasks and projects as needed.
Requirement:
• Preferred previous work experience in the field.
• Computer Skills: Intermediate level in MS Word and Excel.
• Good communications skills
Desirable:
Ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility in working hours is required, and attendance at the WL Office in Sin El Fil is mandatory.
