Job Announcement D-RASATI 2 - ICT Manager    Project Description Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teacher Improvement 2 (D-RASATI2) is a project that aims at enhancing student achievement in Lebanese public schools by training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, developing school leadership and building the capacity and tools necessary to support school improvement planning. D-RASATI-II is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).   Job Description Assess school Readiness: Assess schools, describing existing IT practices, and identifying constraints and gaps. Provide specific strategy/strategies, based on rigorous additional research where necessary, providing an actionable roadmap for improvements to IT that will increase the school’s performance, including any detailed specifications required for subsequent procurement of goods and services. Work with Procurement Manager to provide technical input to purchasing and bidding for IT hardware and software. Orient school leadership to standard systems:  Provide face-to-face orientation and follow up training for school staff on ICT hardware, software, and network installation, and maintenance orientation to school leadership in all project schools.   Provide online materials for support and orientation of all other users. As an ICT representative, ensures that standards, purchasing policies, copyright and other corporate policies relative to information technology are understood and followed. Develop technical documentation and Train school staff to manage education technology resources:  Establish clear ICT inventory and maintenance policies and protocols to be used and adapted by schools – including ICT inventory, policy notebook, schedules, some internal web pages, documentation, email, and installation and updating of software on PCs, conduct preventive maintenance and proactive support around the areas of laptop support, networking, and Anti-Virus support. Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together. Provide proactive technology in education knowledge to team members as part of overall project planning Technical guidance and support on blended learning and sustainable and affordable instructional technology configurations. Assisting in the backstopping of program in close collaboration with component leaders. Participate in internal working groups, as requested or assigned. Contribute written materials that support divisional needs (brochures, summary project information, etc.). Coordinate with partners and MEHE and maintain supervising the implementation of the activities in the field. Supervise the delivery, & installed of all the ICT equipment/and develop a delivery plan. Other related tasks as assigned.   Qualifications The candidate should have the relevant education, training or work experience in fields related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Instructional Technology and Education; and should demonstrate the following experience: Understanding of the classroom context; experience in education is strongly preferred; Mastering all windows server roles (Active directory, Group Policy Management, DHCP, WSUS, RRAS, Windows Server Backup and Terminal Server) Capacity to solve understand/solve IT issues; Administer servers, desktop computers, tablets, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, software deployment, security updates and patches. Basic knowledge in IT support (configuration and networking); Excellent communication skills; Facilitation skills and experience; Fluency in English and Arabic, both verbal and written is required.  Knowledge of French is preferred.
