Intern-Pss Evaluation

Position Description:   World Learning supports Lebanese public schools that are affected by the Syrian refugee crisis in all regions of Lebanon. This involves working on two levels: training public school teachers in English language, and building skills among school-based staff on providing Psychosocial Support to students.   We are currently developing a multi-phase training program to increase the capacity of Lebanese teachers to provide psychosocial support to students within the classroom.  The program will involve training 70 trainers/counselors from the public sector who will then train a further 700 teachers in the provision of psychosocial support. The position of the PSS Evaluation Intern will require the following:   Work in close collaboration with the Psychosocial Support Consultant and the sector specialist to develop appropriate participant assessment and impact evaluation tools for each phase of the program. Develop an evaluation roll out strategy in partnership with the Project Supervisor, including data collection and analysis processes and tools. Conduct, in partnership with the PSS Consultant and sector specialist a baseline and end-line assessment of the project and compile an evaluation  report. Contribute, as needed, to the development of the curriculum in alignment with the program objectives and evaluation strategy.  __________________________________   Position Requirements:   University degree in related field At least 3 years working in the field of training and education Demonstrated expertise in the conducting training evaluation and assessment Experience working with refugees and/or groups affected by conflict     Desired:   Readiness to learn and adapt to new techniques and approaches. Awareness of refugee context following a context-sensitive approach. Compassionate while working with refugees. Maintains confidentiality and respect towards beneficiaries. Experience in working with children and vulnerable populations. Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills Team player and adaptable to working under pressure and handling multiple tasks. Ability to maintain quality performance in sensitive contexts. Experience in conducting trainings. Good reporting skills.
