Program Associate - Ibesp

World Learning  has an immediate vacancy for Beirut-based Program Associate for the USAID-funded IBESP education project in Lebanon. Duration: 4 years. This position is for a Lebanese national or a resident of Lebanon. Background: IBESP will improve reading outcomes for primary-level public school students, strengthen Lebanese institutions to better direct and monitor education, and expand access to safe education for all children, including Syrian refugees.    Specific Responsibilities: Administrative Provide daily administrative support to other staff by creating monthly calendars, scheduling appointments, providing logistical support, record and disseminate meeting minutes, draft correspondence, and coordinating travel arrangements. Act as point of contact for all program staff members and independent  contractors including, drafting/editing reports, drafting financial paperwork, and maintaining program files Prepare and maintain data files (electronically and manually). Manage internal databases. Schedule appointments and meetings for internal and external events. Facilitate in the implementation of financial, administrative, and other internal tools to assist the COP. Review and summarize background documentation for areas within portfolio. Assisting in the backstopping of program in close collaboration with component leaders.   Corporate Responsibilities Represent WL/Project at meetings and conferences, relevant to the subject and themes of the portfolio and disseminate information regarding WL, as requested. Participate in internal working groups, as requested or assigned. Contribute written materials that support divisional needs (brochures, summary project information, etc.). Other related tasks as assigned.   Required Qualifications: BA in a relevant discipline Professional experience in an office environment Strong administrative skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and multi task. Ability to work as a team player and adapt to quick changing situations. Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as fluency in Arabic is required.  Knowledge of French preferred Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Ability to work independently and within a team.
