Project Manager- Dirasa & Makani Projects

The UNICEF-funded “Dirasa Program" & “Makani Program”, aims to create for out-of-school children, multiple pathways that are flexible and responsive to each child’s unique learning needs. The program will be implemented in private /semi-private schools and community centers and is estimated to target out of school children and Retention support for students who are already enrolled in schools.

This role focuses on leading comprehensive project management efforts, from planning to execution, while ensuring alignment with donor requirements and internal policies. Responsibilities include developing action plans, budgets, MEAL frameworks, and communication strategies, as well as managing partnerships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and school principals. The role involves creating monthly implementation schedules, tracking budgets, and facilitating capacity-building for partners. Key duties include monitoring team and project progress, preparing reports, and representing the organization in meetings. A strong emphasis is placed on fostering a collaborative team environment, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of project delivery and compliance. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the WL Country representative.

Main Responsibilities:
• Leading on the development of project action plan, budget plan, MEAL plan, communication and procurement plan, and overseeing timely and high-quality implementation of project activities in alignment with donor requirements.
• Leading on mapping out in detail the monthly implementation plan and sharing with partners engaged in the implementation of the project ensuring timely deliverables as per the budget expenditure plan
• Monitor the project budget on a weekly and monthly basis with the support of the finance team revision to ensure proper alignment with the budget plan.
• Leading on Maintaining and managing relationships with programs’ stakeholders including follow up with partners, beneficiaries and donors to understand project requirements, liaise for projects implementation and grow the scope of opportunities in the field within the defined scope.
• Leading on preparation, coordination and delivery of capacity building for all partners across Lebanon within the defined scope.
• Coordinating with partners and school principals to facilitate and communicate project activities and create a collaborative and positive environment for implementation at the school’s level.
• Ensuring the development of proper processes, support tools and coaching required to support the internal team in successfully leading on their tasks, supporting them in problem solving, proactivity,
constructive feedback and facilitating full development of potential through induction, mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management. • Continuously monitoring the overall team performance and acting accordingly to ensure successful delivery and implementation in an efficient and effective manner.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure project goals are met.
• leading on the preparation and submission of donor reports, under the supervision of WL Country representative and in collaboration with other departments as needed.
• Ensuring implementation is in compliance with internal policies as well as donors’ policies and procedures.
• Conducting weekly and monthly briefings, review, and support meetings with the program team.
• Developing and implementing project communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged through and not limited to regular face to face and online meetings.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project reporting, documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce reporting on the progress and status of projects ensuring that issues are escalated and managed as required.
• Ensuring project deadlines are met
• Representing WL team at meetings and conferences as needed
• Fostering a positive and collaborative project team environment, promoting teamwork and a sense of shared purpose.
• Performing additional tasks as needed and requested by the Country Representative, including support of other WL projects.

Required Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of logistics coordination and administrative tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks including competency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and schedules.
• Capability to provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members to optimize performance and achieve program objectives.
• Flexibility to adjust strategies, plans, and approaches in response to changing circumstances or unforeseen obstacles.
• Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation, data management, and program reporting to meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with team members, partners, and participants to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
