Project Description:
Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teacher Improvement-II (D-RASATI-II) is a project that aims at enhancing student achievement in Lebanese public schools by training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, developing school leadership and building the capacity and tools necessary to support school improvement planning; in addition to providing support to public schools hosting Syrian refugee children to enhance student achievement in public schools
D-RASATI-II is a 2-years project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Position Description:
World Learning is responsible for supporting Lebanese public schools that are hosting Syrian refugee students in all regions of Lebanon. This involves working on two levels: training public school teachers in English language, and building skills among school-based staff to reduce tensions in conflict-affected areas.
The PSS Lead Trainer & Coaching Consultant is required to lead on building the awareness and skills among school- based staff to reduce tensions in public schools that host Syrian refugee children in all regions of Lebanon. With the support of the PSS Material Development Consultant and a team of PSS Coaches, the PSS Lead Trainer and Coaching Consultant will address the following:
Provide feedback on the developed PSS training modules, tools and material;
Provide feedback on the PSS Coaches ToR and assist in their recruitment.
Lead the training of a team of master trainers on the PSS modules (coaches, counsellors and Education experts from the public sector).
Follow up/ coordinate and lead on the roll out trainings to be conducted by the trainers
Support in developing teachers’ skills and raising awareness among administrators, parents and teachers on issues of psychosocial support in order to ease classroom and community tensions.
Supervise, closely communicate and coordinate with D-RASATI coaches and team during the coaching phase;
Follow-up on the assessment of the trainings impact conducted at the school staff and students levels.
Supervise the feedback and updates collection process from the PSS coaches & Material Development Consultant and reflect lessons learned and corrective approaches within the final report.

Position Requirements:
University degree in psychology, social work with experience in mental health, or another relevant degree
At least 5 years of work experience in PSS programming and implementation during phases of direct assistance to refugees, IDPs and affected communities
Cross-cultural working experience in the field of community based psychosocial support is desired
Demonstrated expertise in conducting participatory assessments and approaches
Experience in mental health and/or psychosocial support training
Knowledge and experience implementing the IASC guidelines on MHPSS in Emergency Settings desirable
Readiness to learn and adapt to new techniques and approaches.
Awareness of refugee context following a context-sensitive approach.
Compassionate while working with refugees.
Maintains confidentiality and respect towards beneficiaries.
Experience in working with children and vulnerable populations.
Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
Team player and adaptable to working under pressure and handling multiple tasks.
Ability to maintain quality performance in sensitive contexts.
Experience in conducting trainings.
Good reporting skills.
Computer skills: proficiency in current office software applications
Languages: Proficiency in English and Arabic.
