Project Description: Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teacher Improvement-II (D-RASATI-II) is a project that aims at enhancing student achievement in Lebanese public schools by training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, developing school leadership, building the capacity and tools necessary to support school improvement planning, and provide extensive Psychosocial Support (PSS) training of CERD and DOPS staff, who will in turn train around 750 selected teachers and supervisors, from 250 primary public schools hosting Syrian refugee children, on psychosocial support in education. D-RASATI-II is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project. It started in October 2013 and expected to end in June 2016. Position Description: We are looking for a motivated multi-skilled producer to work with the Program to produce a short film on D-RASATI 2’s PSS component  with a special focus on the training of trainers, and the roll-out of the training on Psychosocial Support for children, which is designed for the purpose of  restoring cognitive processes impaired by the effects of traumatic events, strengthen coping mechanisms and resilience, minimize aggressive behaviors, and restore mental-emotional balance stemmed from war-related trauma and forced displacement. The producer, with the support of the communication officer, will be responsible for handling the project from start to finish; which will basically include the following tasks: Going through footage already archived from the trainings Develop the film’s script and storyboard Shooting interviews, while taking into consideration the storyboard Combining and editing  the archived, and the new shot rushes Coordinating with Communication officer for the purpose of interviewing selected interviewees for the film who will include actual beneficiaries, local government officials, implementing partners and key program staff Visit the project sites and interact with the local personnel who’ve been impacted by the training Present a draft documentary to D-RASATI for comments about contents Produce a summary promotional video version of 10 minutes long Adding subtitles to the final edit Logistical arrangements • The firm should be able to provide own transportation to filming sites • Basic documentation (draft script) will be provided to the firm before the start of the assignment Timeframe  • Filming and production must be done within 22 days. The deadline for the final submission is 31st of March, 2016. Expected Deliverables A 10-minute high quality video in a format acceptable by popular internet site, and the complete raw footage of the film.
