Background
USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based “Multi-media Developer and Video Producer” for its Beirut based USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI 2) project in Lebanon. This position is for Lebanese nationals only.

Scope and Responsibilities
The project is aiming to produce digital e-content in line with the Lebanese curriculum for the English, French, Arabic and Math subjects - Grades 1 to 6 – with psychosocial support activities integrated and stand alone.
The Multi-media Developer and Video Producer will work closely with the QITABI 2 Subject Matter specialists (SMEs), the Instructional Designer, and Graphic Designer and Multimedia Specialist. She/ He will be in charge of producing the eLearning videos and scenarios, as well as any other highly interactive element, in line with the eLearning, resource content design and in collaboration with the Graphic designer and Multimedia specialist.
Principal areas of responsibility
• Creates and produces multimedia production for online content and learning objects, such as audio, video, 2D/3D animations, simulations, etc. as per the Storyline
• Uses various instructional technologies to improve teaching and learning. Jointly develops, designs, and conducts instructional technology
• Conceptualizes and realizes graphic treatments on multimedia products
• Assists with curricular development and eLearning project deliverables
• Oversees the pre-production, production, and post-production of video and audio elements including managing media for Final Cut Pro, After FX, Pro Tools and related motion graphics and animation software
• Develops action plans, timetables, benchmarks, quantitative targets for the online resources and training modules
• Provides one-on-one (both face-to-face and online) consultation to team members and stakeholders in exploring possibilities and constructing content
• Produces graphics for videos using development software to devise courses and training modules
• Conducts project outreach, assists in storyboard, and presents concepts clearly prior to realization
• Maintains branding of all the produced material in line with the QITABI-2 branding and marking strategy approved by USAID
Required Qualifications
• Degree in Media, Communications and/or Arts or relevant field, master’s degree highly desired
• 5+ years of experience of professional video production and audio editing
• Background in Education is preferred
• Expertise in various areas such as graphics, illustration, video production/editing, motion graphics, etc.
• Proficiency in motion graphics design, animation, illustration, and video production and the following industry tools: Final Cut Pro, After FX, Pro Tools, and other professional post-production software.
• Experience in digitizing and video streaming for the web and other multimedia services
• Proficiency in Mac platform, Non-linear editing - Adobe Premier, Audition, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, 2D/3D motion graphics – After Effects, HTML5, Flash (animation, composition, VFX, Color grading – Color or equivalent software
• Post-production workflows, appropriate media formats, and optimizing video for various outputs
• Knowledge of industry standard software programs i.e. Adobe Creative Suite
• Artistic vision with advanced graphic design and typography skills coupled with the ability to weave a meaningful and compelling story
• Exceptional communication and persuasion skills and ability to work individually and within a team in a professional manner
• Ability to edit materials from a culturally sensitive perspective
• Self-motivated, highly organized, collaborative, and able to create in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Ability to work in a team
