World Learning – Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” QITABI 2 Program (QITABI 2) Multimedia Developer and Videographer Associate Background USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools. World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based “English Specialist” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI II) in Lebanon. Scope and Responsibilities The project is aiming to produce digital e-content in line with the Lebanese curriculum for the English, French, Arabic and Math subjects - Grades 1 to 6 – with psychosocial support activities integrated and stand alone. The Multimedia Developer and Videographer Associate will report to QITABI 2 – Multimedia Developer and Videographer and Instructional Designer and will work closely with the E-content team. He will be in charge of producing the eLearning videos and scenarios, as well as any other highly interactive element, in line with the eLearning, resource content design and in collaboration with the E-content unit team. Principal areas of responsibility • Supports in creating and producing multimedia material for online content and digital learning objects (DLO), such as audio, video, etc. as per the Storyline/ storyboard. • Assists in the pre-production, production, and post-production of video and audio elements • Produces basic graphics for videos using development software to devise courses and training modules. • Production of video (videography, editing basic animation graphics, audio balancing, sub-titling and embedding footages, format exporting, archiving raw and edited work etc.). • Participates in translating audio, video, graphics and digital animation and other digital media content into various distributable formats. • Uploads video projects to servers and publishes HTML and URL links for digital content distribution. • Co-creates multimedia designs in liaison with E-content unit team and uses appropriate design packages such as Photoshop, In Design and After Effects • Conducts project outreach, assists in storyboard, and presents concepts clearly prior to realization • Records and edit narration / voice over where needed. • Archives the edited output in DV and DVD format along with professional log. • Supports in Exporting final version of a video in formats optimized for HD web distribution. • Works in close collaboration with the QITABI 2 Multimedia Developer and Videographer. • Maintains branding of all the produced material in line with the QITABI-2 branding and marking strategy approved by USAID. Required Qualifications • Degree in Media, Communications and/or Arts or relevant field • 3+ years of experience of professional video production and audio editing • Expertise in video production/editing, motion graphics, etc. • Proficiency in motion graphics design and video production and the following industry tools: Final Cut Pro, and other professional post-production software. • Experience in digitizing and video streaming for the web and other multimedia services • Proficiency in Mac platform, Non-linear editing - Adobe Premier, Photoshop • Post-production workflows, appropriate media formats, and optimizing video for various outputs • Knowledge of industry standard software programs i.e. Adobe Creative Suite • Ability to edit materials from a culturally sensitive perspective • Self-motivated, highly organized, collaborative, and able to create in a fast-paced and challenging environment • Ability to work in a team World Learning is an equal employment opportunity committed to increasing the diversity of its workforce.
