Background
USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has an immediate vacancy for its Beirut-based “Packager" for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI II) in Lebanon. This position is for a Lebanese national.

Scope and Responsibilities
The project is aiming to produce digital e-content in line with the Lebanese curriculum for the English, French, Arabic Math subject - Grades 1 to 6 – with psychosocial support activities integrated and stand alone.
The Packager will work closely with the QITABI 2 ‘s Instructional Designer to visualize the content produced by the Subject Matter Experts into e-resources.
He will be in charge of producing the E-content videos and scenarios, as well as any other highly interactive elements within the E-content course design. He will work closely with the Graphic Designer, Multimedia Developer and Videographer to respond to the E-content unit team needs.
Principal areas of responsibility
The main tasks will include:
Package e-learning material
• Work with the different e-content experts as e-content production requires to produce the DLO in compliance with quality, requirement, production standards, and work rules
• Consolidate and package all visuals, clipart, content, voiceover, and animation into self-paced interactive DLO, such as: learning aids and visual materials
• Select and use appropriate techniques to define and sequence instructional content, including Articulate, H5P and other tools as requested for by the Instructional Designer
• Match instructional media to the content, the audience, and desired outcomes; help troubleshoot technical problems or address user-reported issues.
• Supports in creating and developing graphics, and Web interfaces for Web portals, e-content, and communications products to make sure learning is effective
Design graphics and interactive visuals
• Conceptualize, design, and produce graphics demonstrating complex technical constructs, concepts, and visuals based on requirements; Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Create images, layouts, interactive designs, or animated graphics using a variety of tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, test graphics across various media
• Assist in creating multimedia designs in liaison with E-content unit team and use appropriate design packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, after effect, Flash, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Improve and edit artworks, photos, charts, and other graphic elements based on input and feedback of Instructional designer, SME, and E-content team; Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
• Devises and updates templates (Word, PowerPoint etc.) and provide technical advice regarding their use.
• Participates in developing the resources guideline in terms of template and standards.
• Uses skills and expertise in appropriate design packages such an illustrator.
• Delivers creative graphic and technical solutions for use of new media.
Other
• Assists in establishing and be responsible for maintaining a photo archive.
• Collaborates and communicates with all team members to improve end-products.
• Ensures staying up to date to trends and that content upgrades are properly deployed.
• Maintains branding of all the produced material in line with the QITABI-2 branding and marking strategy approved by USAID.
• Any other task as requested by supervisor and QITABI 2 Management.
Required Qualifications
• Degree in Multimedia and Graphics design, Arts, or a relevant field.
• 4+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in multimedia and/or graphic design packages, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Understanding of human computer factors and interface design.
• Ability to function as a creative self-starter and to work independently.
• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
• Experience with content management systems preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within diverse team.
• Ability and willingness to adapt to a dynamic set of standards and tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
