World Learning – QITABI-2: Videographer Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” QITABI 2 Program Background USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools. World Learning has an immediate vacancy for consultancy position named “Videographer” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction Towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI- 2) in Lebanon. Scope and Responsibilities The consultant will work closely with World Learning’s Beirut Office Senior Communications and Digital Media Officer. The overall objective is to produce media related content including short videos and high-resolution photos for QITABI - 2 project. The shooting will take place inside the public schools and during QITABI -2 major events. The videographer will be reporting to the Senior Communications and Digital Media Officer. The consultant will be able to: - Provide video shooting and editing of major events and videos showcasing QITABI-2 successes - Take high resolution photos of major events - Document through short video-takes, students performing several activities under QITABI-2 at Lebanese Public/ Private Schools - Film short testimonials with beneficiaries including school principals/teachers form Public /Private schools and parents that benefit from products or trainings under QITABI-2 - Take short interviews with project partners and QITABI 2 management summarizing QITABI-2 outcomes to feed into major videos - Develop a video concept and scenario in coordination with QITABI-2 Communication to present the successes of outcomes 1, 2 and 3 - Incorporate subtitles and voice overs in videos Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Film and at least 3 years’ experience in operating video cameras and editing equipment - Portfolio demonstrating previous professional experience in shooting and editing short videos and photos - Proficiency with editing software such as photoshop and Adobe Premiere - Skills in visualizing and shooting concepts effectively - Knowledge of field production techniques - Preferable experience in working with non-profit organizations - Interpersonal communication skills with a willingness to accept feedback and constructive criticism The consultancy duration is estimated for 50 days in one year ending December 31, 2020.
