Animators -Casual worker for Bekaa and Irsal

Main tasks required:

  • Identify and register potential beneficiaries to benefit from the project as per the set criteria
  • Disseminate information related to services for people living in vulnerable situations based on up to date service mapping
  • Distribute leaflets with early learning, education, health and protection services available to Syrian and Lebanese children in Bekaa.
  • Conduct Child Protection, PSS and parenting sessions targeting parents with the support from other animators, following WVL’s safeguarding policy, code of conduct and national PSS guidelines.
  • Refer cases in line with existing inter-agency referral mechanisms and internal WV guidance to the project facilitator.
  • Participate in safeguarding, PSEA, SIR training, and working in line with WV’s safeguarding policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Liaise with the other animators on the implementation of the daily or weekly activities and share the work progress periodically.
  • Conduct PSS sessions targeting children in the Informal Settlement.
  • Supervise and treat children with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the premises
  • Create a safe space where participants can voice their opinions, thoughts and emotions, share experiences and brainstorm on solutions in a confidential and respectful manner.
  • Always include children with a disability in all interventions and ensure their safety, dignity and participation.
  • Prepare session materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations.
  • Give children the care, education and development they deserve. Support professional and comprehensive intervention services for children in street situation.
  • File all project means of verifications (MOV), important records and correspondences related to the PSS/CP/Caregivers and children’s sessions. Enter them into the system, including attendance sheets, pre/post-tests, minutes of meetings and evaluation documents while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.

 

Minimum requirement:

  • Bachelor degree in a social development related field, (kindergarten, psychology, sociology, social sciences/humanities, specialized education or social animation)
  • Previous experience with children from 3 to 14 years old.
  • Previous experience with parents and caregivers
  • Capable of dealing with children who have experienced war distress
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge in using social media applications.
